The castles of Maulne, Ancy-Le-Franc, Tanlay, the Abbey of Pontigny, the sculptures of Chaource, the Renaissance churches of Saint Florentin, Tonnerre, Chablis, the wash house of Brienon and the beautiful town of Auxerre, the magnificent village of Noyers sur Serain which are all less than 30km away, will delight lovers of old stones.
You can also take your excursions further afield, to Vezelay, the superb Fontenay Abbey, the Buffon Forges, the Arcy sur Cure Caves, the Bailly cellars, St Bris le Vineux, Chitry, Irancy... all less than an hour's drive away.

Tuesday: A fruit and vegetable stand and a delicious butcher take over the village square of Flogny near the church every Tuesday.
Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.: As you leave the village towards Tonnerre, look out for a small sign and turn left to find an organic vegetable farm and a stand where you can buy organic eggs and poultry.
Thunder
Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Tonnerre covered market, with an excellent selection of local stalls, mostly organic.
Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Outdoor market
Chablis
Sunday: Local producers' market in the beautiful village of Chablis. An absolute must-see .
